Thank you for visiting our home on the web. As a Messianic Community, we embrace Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah and Redeemer. We believe both Jewish and non-Jewish followers of Messiah are one in Him, and together are full participants in our congregational life. Because worship is important to us and something we very much enjoy doing, our worship services incorporate both Jewish traditions and contemporary forms of adoration and praise.

We hope you will visit and join us for either our Saturday morning Shabbat worship service at 11:00 AM in Tarzana, or our Saturday evening service at 6:00 pm in Santa Clarita. Addresses, times of services, and maps to our two locations are provided below. You can Plan Your Visit by clicking on “Plan Your Visit” in the drop-down menu above.

Consider signing up for our weekly electronic newsletter by clicking on “Shofar Calls”, also found in the drop-down menu above.

In addition to our Home Page, we invite you to visit our Facebook page. Among the many things on that page is our Beth Ariel Bible Discussion Group. If you desire to go deeper in the study of the Scriptures consider joining this group and interacting. Simply click on the link below.

About the Band

Hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, MIQEDEM, (the ancient Hebrew word for “of old” or alternately, “from the east”), is a band whose music can be described as sacred Hebrew folk. Miqedem is most known for their exclusive reliance on ancient Hebrew Scripture in their lyrics, drawing most heavily on the poetry of the Psalms. With influences stemming from Middle-Eastern and North African genres, the band often utilizes microtonal scales, irregular time signatures, and regional Middle-Eastern instruments in their music.

In late 2024, the band released “Live in Tel Aviv”, their first live album and concert film, where they performed as a quartet, and in Spring 2025, Miqedem is bringing this same concert to Southern California.

The band's 2025 lineup consists of the UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center's 2024–2025 Harry C. Sigman Graduate Fellow Yaron Cherniak (Vocals / Oud / Saz / Tar / Cura /Shurangiz), Shai Sol (Vocals / Acoustic guitar / Percussion), Jamie Hilsden (Vocals / Acoustic guitar / Bass / Percussion), and special guest, Leat Sabbah (Cello / Vocals).
